Netflix has unveiled the first teaser for the fifth season of the hit series «Bridgerton». The new season is already in production.

This time, the story will focus on Francesca Stirling and the relative of her late husband – Michaela Stirling. The events unfold two years after the death of John Stirling. After losing her husband, Francesca decides to return to the marriage market, guided primarily by practical considerations. However, Michaela’s return to London forces her to question her intentions.

Shared grief brings the two women closer together, while new feelings help them find comfort and gradually regain their inner balance. Francesca will have to make a difficult choice between rational calculation and the voice of her heart.

The fifth season will be the first in the show’s history to center on a same-sex romantic storyline.

Filming is taking place outside London. The premiere date has not yet been announced.

For reference, Francesca Stirling is portrayed by Hannah Dodd, while Michaela Stirling is played by Masali Baduza. The fourth season of «Bridgerton», released on Netflix in two parts in January and February, focused on the love story of Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and Sophie Beck (Yerin Ha). Netflix has already renewed the series for both a fifth and sixth season. Meanwhile, Julia Quinn’s original book series consists of eight novels, offering the project significant potential for further development.
