A notorious Hollywood mansion has been listed for sale in Los Angeles for $18 million.
In 2009, actress Brittany Murphy passed away in this house due to pneumonia and a drug overdose. Just five months later, tragedy struck again: her husband, producer and screenwriter Simon Monjack, was also found dead in the mansion.

The couple purchased the property in 2003 from Britney Spears, who had claimed the house was haunted. According to her, ghosts were driving her insane and trying to push her down the stairs.
In 2011, Murphy’s mother sold the property for $2.7 million. By 2013, the original house was demolished, and a new six-bedroom, eight-bathroom mansion was built in its place. However, rumors persist online that the issue is not only with the house but also with the «cursed» land. As a result, there aren’t many buyers willing to acquire the property today.
