The «Botanical» Collection: Jonathan Anderson Unveils Line for Dior

The designer’s debut for the fashion house
As part of Paris Fashion Week, one of the season’s most anticipated shows took place: Jonathan Anderson presented his first women’s ready-to-wear Autumn/Winter 2026 collection for Dior.

The theme of the collection was the garden in all its manifestations; thus, the location was chosen with intent—the show was held in Paris’s Tuileries Garden. In a short video released before the show began, the designer confessed that, for him, Paris is primarily about «promenades» — moments when people dressed up simply to step out into the world.
«Historically, Dior has always shown collections here. I think about the promenades — when people dressed up to go somewhere. For me, that is Paris. I like the idea that by holding the show here, I am reflecting on this promenade, this bridge, and on French style,» Anderson shared.

The garden aesthetic was woven into the details: marsh-toned mini-skirts with trains evoked water lilies on a pond, while airy, layered pieces resembled flower petals. Translucent dresses were adorned with floral appliqués, and jackets appeared as if crafted from checkered blankets.

For these «elegant strolls,» the designer created variations of the iconic Bar jacket — embellished with feathers, pearl buttons, and paired with crystals. The runway also featured python shearling coats, embroidered denim, brocade suits, and architectural gowns.

The collection did not shy away from the designer’s signature historical allusions: silhouettes with 18th-century flourishes, asymmetrical blazers reminiscent of frock coats, and double-breasted jackets added a sense of theatricality to the lineup.
