78-year-old Marianna Kohn, a veteran of Vienna’s nightlife, has become the new face of the lingerie brand Palmers. The bold advertising campaign celebrates the diversity of women’s individuality.

This spring, Palmers launched the #endofsorry campaign, in which the leading Austrian brand firmly rejected societal accusations that women fail to meet certain standards. To showcase individuality, the brand invited women with different life stories and appearances for a photoshoot. Previous models included young entrepreneur Julia Fodor (Jay Rox) and influencer Christl Clear.

In Marianna’s case, the focus is not on eroticism in old age but rather a political statement about standing firm and refusing to conform.

«I never felt sexy, I never cared», — Marianna says. «Women don’t need to apologize for who they are. After all, men don’t apologize for their beer bellies», — she emphasizes.

Interestingly, Kohn’s body is adorned with nearly 70 tattoos, though some were edited out for the photos.

«Showing my tattoos of Bambi or Dumbo would have been legally impossible due to Walt Disney», — Kohn joked.
