Simone Ashley, the star of the series Bridgerton, best known for her role as Kate Sharma – Anthony Bridgerton’s love interest – has decided to explore a new creative direction.

The actress shared behind-the-scenes footage from a recording studio on social media and announced that she will release her debut single on April 10. The title and genre are still being kept under wraps, but fans have already flooded the comments with congratulations and are eagerly anticipating the release.

At the same time, Ashley cannot be considered entirely new to music. She previously performed a vocal part in the song Cool to Be Kind, which was included in the soundtrack of the film The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland.

The actress will also soon appear on the big screen – in the sequel The Devil Wears Prada 2, where she will star alongside Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway.
