Lindsay Lohan has reflected on the challenging years of growing up under intense public scrutiny. In a recent interview with Vogue Arabia, the 39-year-old actress admitted that the fame she experienced following the release of Mean Girls in 2004, when she was just 17, was so overwhelming that she now regrets not having had stronger support from those around her.

«I should have listened to my mom and dad and gone back to New York. But I was young and wanted to live in Los Angeles. And I didn’t know what I was doing,» Lindsay confessed. «So yes, although there was a lot of fun, it was hard for me at such a young age. It was a double-edged sword. Now I look back and think: ‘Why didn’t anyone just take me out of there and protect me?’ You can’t take care of yourself when you’re a teenager.»

After years in Hollywood and constant media attention, Lohan relocated to Dubai in 2014, seeking a quieter life away from show business and paparazzi.

Following her move to the United Arab Emirates, Lindsay began dating Kuwaiti financier Bader Shammas in 2020. The couple got engaged in 2021, married in 2022, and in July 2023 welcomed their son, Luai.

In recent years, Lohan has gradually returned to acting, including her role in the upcoming 2025 film Freaky Friday.

American actress and 2000s film icon Lindsay Lohan celebrated her son Luai’s second birthday. The little boy, born in her marriage to Kuwaiti financier Bader Shammas, was the star of a colorful family celebration.

The party took place on July 16 in the garden of their home. The theme was dinosaurs — Luai’s current favorite. To create the perfect atmosphere, the area was decorated with prehistoric creature figures, balloons, a mini zoo with rabbits and decorative chickens, and play zones. The birthday boy happily joined in the fun with other children and, according to his parents, was absolutely thrilled.

The cake matched the theme as well — it was decorated with dinosaur figurines.

Lindsay didn’t hold back her emotions and dedicated a touching message to her son on social media:

«Happy birthday, our sunshine, our sweetest boy, our heart, Luai! Watching you grow is the greatest joy in our lives. You light up every room (and keep us all on our toes), and we are so proud to be your mommy and daddy. You are the greatest love we’ve ever known, the boldest adventure, and the most beautiful purpose. You’ve given our lives a whole new meaning, and we’re grateful for you every single day. Here’s to another year of hugs, laughter, and magic. We love you more than words can express.»

It’s worth noting that in recent years, Lohan has been living a relatively quiet life, focusing on her family. However, she recently returned to acting — she appears in the sequel to «Freaky Friday,» which is set to release more than two decades after the original film.

American actress Lindsay Lohan shared her beauty secrets in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, discussing how she cares for her hair and skin.

According to Lindsay, she uses a light oil in her hair care routine and rarely uses a hair dryer, aiming to avoid drying out her locks.

«I like using hair oil. I think it’s essential. I try not to blow-dry my hair often unless necessary. Daily washing and drying can damage it, so I try to avoid it», — the star said. She also mentioned that she loves her hair color, noting that her red hair makes her feel vibrant and attractive.

«I’ve always loved my natural hair color — I admire it from root to tip. But when I was in school, with my freckles, people would sometimes tease me… Over the years, my hair has darkened, so I go to a stylist to brighten it up», — Lindsay shared.

Lindsay also takes great care of her skin, sticking to «very simple routines».

«I use zinc creams and gentle cleansers. I’m a big fan of cryo treatments for the face and under-eye patches. I just spend a few minutes each morning applying them. Remember, always take time for yourself, even if it’s just to enjoy a cup of tea», — Lindsay advised.

Additionally, Lohan consumes plenty of vegetables and fruits, supporting her hair, skin, and nails with biotin.

«I think biotin always helps. I don’t take many vitamins because everything should be in moderation. Generally, I just apply masks when I can and let my hair and skin rest — that’s the most important thing», — the star added.
