Singer Rihanna, who became the face of J’Adore Dior last year, delighted fans with a new stylish commercial as part of the advertising campaign.

The four-minute video, directed by photographer Steven Klein, takes place in nighttime Versailles. At the beginning of the video, the pop icon appears in a black quilted jacket paired with a pencil skirt and sunglasses, walking through the palace corridors toward a luxurious room where a chic outfit and a bottle of her favorite perfume await her.

As dawn arrives, she transforms into the «J’Adore goddess,» strutting through Versailles in a golden gown and a vintage necklace from her personal collection.

Expressing her connection to the fragrance in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Rihanna previously shared:

«My first introduction to J’adore Dior was through my mother. I have always loved this perfume.»

For the past 20 years, Charlize Theron has been the constant face and ambassador of J’Adore Dior. For most of the brand’s clientele, the fragrance is strongly associated with her.

Thus, Rihanna’s appointment divided J’Adore fans into two camps: some were thrilled for the singer, while others felt that Theron was a better fit for the role. What do you think?
