<p>The three-story estate in Mill Valley, a town about 13 miles north of San Francisco, long owned by filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, is now on the market for $6.75 million.</p>

<p>According to the Mill Valley Record, Coppola purchased the house in 1970 and sold it in 1984. It was here that he wrote the screenplay for the iconic film The Godfather, based on Mario Puzo’s 1969 novel.</p>
<p>The home’s cinematic legacy doesn’t end there. In the 1970s, Star Wars director George Lucas worked here alongside his then-wife Marcia. It was in this house that Lucas edited his 1973 hit American Graffiti.</p>

<p>The legendary directors were close friends and together founded the film company American Zoetrope in 1969. The studio produced The Godfather, THX 1138, American Graffiti, other installments of The Godfather franchise, as well as Apocalypse Now and Dracula based on Bram Stoker’s novel.</p>
<p>The main residence spans over 290 square meters, combining historic charm with modern comfort. Large panoramic windows, mahogany furnishings, a fireplace, a spacious living hall, the kitchen, and the master bedroom with cathedral-style ceilings create an atmosphere of elegance. The bedroom features a custom walk-in closet and a balcony overlooking the surrounding redwoods.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p data-start="2654" data-end="2810">A house in Woodstock, New York, famously featured on the cover of Bob Dylan’s iconic 1965 album Bringing It All Back Home, has been sold for $4.6 million. Situated on a scenic lot in the Catskill Mountains, the property was listed in May for approximately $4.99 million. Even with a slight discount, it became the most expensive residential sale ever recorded in Woodstock, according to official records.</p>
<p data-start="767" data-end="1042"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-134326 size-full" src="https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-88504237-1.jpg" alt="" width="1280" height="853" srcset="https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-88504237-1.jpg 1280w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-88504237-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-88504237-1-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-88504237-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-88504237-1-370x247.jpg 370w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-88504237-1-800x533.jpg 800w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-88504237-1-20x13.jpg 20w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-88504237-1-185x123.jpg 185w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-88504237-1-740x493.jpg 740w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-88504237-1-400x267.jpg 400w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-88504237-1-72x48.jpg 72w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px" /></p>
<p data-start="767" data-end="1042">According to sources, the current buyers purchased the home from Sally Grossman, the widow of Dylan’s former manager Albert Grossman. Sally herself appears on the album cover, seated beside the fireplace in the very home that once belonged to the Grossman family.</p>
<p data-start="1044" data-end="1513"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-134327 size-full" src="https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-43120922.jpg" alt="" width="1568" height="1045" srcset="https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-43120922.jpg 1568w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-43120922-300x200.jpg 300w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-43120922-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-43120922-768x512.jpg 768w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-43120922-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-43120922-370x247.jpg 370w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-43120922-800x533.jpg 800w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-43120922-20x13.jpg 20w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-43120922-185x123.jpg 185w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-43120922-740x493.jpg 740w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-43120922-400x267.jpg 400w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-43120922-72x48.jpg 72w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1568px) 100vw, 1568px" /></p>
<p data-start="1044" data-end="1513">Albert Grossman owned the property from the 1960s onward and was regarded as one of the most influential music producers of his era. He represented such legendary artists as The Band, Peter, Paul and Mary, and Janis Joplin. His Woodstock residence became a hub for musical greats, with guests including Johnny Cash, George Harrison, writer William Kennedy, and poet Allen Ginsberg. After Albert’s death in 1986, ownership passed to Sally.</p>
<p data-start="1515" data-end="1851"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-134328 size-full" src="https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-84404336.jpg" alt="" width="1280" height="854" srcset="https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-84404336.jpg 1280w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-84404336-300x200.jpg 300w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-84404336-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-84404336-768x512.jpg 768w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-84404336-370x247.jpg 370w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-84404336-800x534.jpg 800w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-84404336-20x13.jpg 20w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-84404336-185x123.jpg 185w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-84404336-740x494.jpg 740w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-84404336-400x267.jpg 400w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-84404336-72x48.jpg 72w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px" /></p>
<p data-start="1515" data-end="1851">The main house was built in 1914. It features a bluestone façade and a classic front porch. The interiors have preserved much of their early 20th-century charm, including carved woodwork, wide-plank floors, Dutch-style doors – and, of course, the fireplace immortalized on the album cover.</p>
<p data-start="1853" data-end="2210"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-134329 size-full" src="https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-85067796.jpg" alt="" width="1280" height="854" srcset="https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-85067796.jpg 1280w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-85067796-300x200.jpg 300w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-85067796-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-85067796-768x512.jpg 768w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-85067796-370x247.jpg 370w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-85067796-800x534.jpg 800w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-85067796-20x13.jpg 20w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-85067796-185x123.jpg 185w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-85067796-740x494.jpg 740w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-85067796-400x267.jpg 400w, https://theinsider.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/im-85067796-72x48.jpg 72w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px" /></p>
<p data-start="1853" data-end="2210">The primary residence includes four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and two guest half-baths. Elsewhere on the grounds are: a separate four-bedroom, two-bath home; a cozy forest cottage with one bedroom, a bathroom and kitchen; and a one-bedroom apartment with a bath – the space from which Grossman once ran his Bearsville Records label.</p>

<p>A Los Angeles home once rented by Audrey Hepburn has been listed for sale for nearly 11 million dollars. The legendary Hollywood actress rented the property from Deborah Kerr – star of the film «The King and I».</p>

<p>While the exact dates remain unclear, it is believed that Kerr owned the house for most of the 1950s, and Hepburn lived there in 1957. This is confirmed by photographs taken that same year by photographer Sid Avery, which show the actress together with her then-husband Mel Ferrer. Prior to Kerr, the house was owned by director and producer Edwin Knopf (brother of renowned publisher Alfred A. Knopf Sr.) and his wife Mildred. The estate was last sold 34 years ago, though the exact date and sale price have not been disclosed.</p>

<p>Built in 1939, the 557-square-meter mansion is designed in the Georgian style. Despite undergoing partial renovations over the decades, the owners have preserved its original look.</p>

<p>The house features five bedrooms and six bathrooms. Additional highlights include a wood-paneled library with a fireplace and a Palm Beach–style sunroom with green-and-white checkered flooring, a built-in bar, and French doors opening onto a balcony.</p>
