Disney is preparing an exhibition titled Whimsy & Wonder, dedicated to the work of women animators at the studio. The event will take place during the Animayo animation festival on the island of Gran Canaria, reports Variety.

Among the exhibits are works by Mary Blair, who in the 1950s transformed the visual style of classic animated films such as «Cinderella,» «Alice in Wonderland,» and «Peter Pan,» using bright colors and unconventional shapes.

The exhibition will also showcase the works of six contemporary artists, including Lorelay Bove and Josie Trinidad, who worked on «Zootopia» and «The Princess and the Frog,» as well as Lisa Keene, who contributed to «The Lion King» and «Frozen.»

The exhibition will be open from May 7 to May 10.

According to the announcement, the funds will be allocated to the American Red Cross, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, and other organizations.

«The Walt Disney Company is committed to supporting our community and our employees as we all work together to recover and rebuild after this incredible devastation. Walt Disney came to Los Angeles with only his boundless imagination, and it was here that he chose to make his home, fulfill his dreams, and create extraordinary stories that mean so much to so many people around the world,» commented the company’s CEO, Bob Iger.

Joining Disney in assisting the victims is Paramount Global, which has pledged $1 million to several nonprofit organizations, including the California Fire Foundation, World Central Kitchen, and Best Friends Animal Society.
