Cynthia Erivo has been awarded the Order of the British Empire for her outstanding contribution to the arts. The investiture ceremony took place in the evening at Windsor Castle.

According to the actress, receiving the honour came as a great surprise to her.

For the official ceremony, Cynthia chose a Givenchy look designed by Sarah Burton.
