Producer and husband of singer Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco, has once again sparked a wave of criticism. This time, the musician drew public backlash following the launch of his new podcast «Friends Keep Secrets».

The 37-year-old producer launched the show alongside his friend, rapper Lil Dicky, and his wife. The format was intended to feel максимально relaxed – a couch setting, uncensored jokes and a casual, home-like atmosphere. However, the main cause of outrage was a moment in which Blanco was seen sitting barefoot on the couch, with the camera zooming in on his visibly dirty feet, which he had stretched out in the direction of his female podcast co-host, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The situation was further aggravated by another clip in which the producer jokingly passed gas into the microphone and asked the team not to edit the sound out.

Social media quickly erupted with comments such as: «Bro, you need to take a shower and hire a cleaner», «This is disgusting, I don’t understand how Selena tolerates this», and «Selena should get divorced and find someone better», among others.

Recently, American rapper Lil Dicky tied the knot with longtime partner and producer Christine Bataluccio.

The wedding took place on a picturesque oceanfront, surrounded by close friends and family.

Among the invited guests were Selena Gomez and her fiancé, Benny Blanco.

For the special occasion, the singer wore a striking red dress topped with a black fur coat. Her elegant look was completed with minimalist jewelry and a Valentino handbag.

Blanco opted for a bold royal blue silk suit, paired with a black shirt.

«From yesterday’s wedding», Selena captioned a photo.

The images show the couple enjoying a warm and joyful evening in great company. Earlier this year in March, Benny Blanco publicly wished Lil Dicky a happy birthday, calling him his best friend.

As a reminder, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are also engaged and planning their own wedding. However, the couple has yet to reveal any details or set a date.

In the world of Disney stars, a normal childhood is more the exception than the rule. Instead of school hallways — film sets; instead of prom — red carpets and tours. Selena Gomez was no exception: in her youth, she never had the chance to attend her own prom.

But it seems Selena’s boyfriend, producer Benny Blanco, decided to make up for this injustice. After learning that the star had never been to prom, he organized a romantic reconstruction of that unforgettable night — just like in classic American movies.

Everything was by the book: glamorous outfits, the staircase where Selena descended to meet her date, a limousine, and of course, a photo shoot at the local mall. A true teenage dream brought to life.

Blanco’s gesture touched the hearts of the singer’s fans. Social media is buzzing with admiration: it seems Benny is becoming not only the perfect boyfriend, but also a favorite among Selena’s supporters.

«l’m not sure what I did to deserve you but damn am I glad you were born. happy birthday baby», Selena wrote, accompanying her message with nostalgic photos.

As a reminder, the couple has been together since 2023, and in December last year, Selena and Benny announced their engagement.

Selena Gomez and her fiancé Benny Blanco have given their first joint interview and appeared on the cover of Interview magazine. The couple shared details about their engagement, love story, and collaboration on a new album.

At the beginning of the interview, Selena showcased her marquise-cut diamond engagement ring and admitted that she had dreamed of such a piece of jewelry since she was young.

When asked about how exactly Benny proposed, Selena did not give a direct answer. The 32-year-old singer said she wanted to keep that moment private for their future children, adding that it was «very touching» and happened at the «right time.» Benny, in turn, admitted that before the engagement, he had to lie to maintain the surprise, which was a «real challenge» for him.

The couple also shared the story of their first meeting. They met when Selena was just 16 years old, but their romance began years later. Despite both feeling a «special connection,» Selena admitted that she was the first to show interest in Benny, while he didn’t immediately realize her feelings and even offered to introduce her to his friends. «We were in a studio session, and I said, «You should meet my friends. I can set you up on some dates,» the music producer recalled.

He also noted that they went into their first dinner with different expectations: Selena considered it a date, while Benny saw it as just a casual meet-up. It wasn’t until their second dinner that he started to realize he liked her, and from that moment, their relationship developed rapidly.

Blanco shared that before meeting Selena, he had consciously decided to change his life to be ready for a serious relationship. The 36-year-old musician stated that he «adores the ground Selena walks on» and feels that it is mutual: «There is no selfishness between us. She prays for me to win, and I pray for her to win,» he explained.

However, despite being completely sure of his feelings, Benny admitted that he still can’t shake the fear that one day Selena might leave him. «I’m so scared that one day she’ll wake up and say, «What? No,» he said.

As part of the interview, the artists also announced the release of a joint album titled I Said I Love You First. The couple noted that working on the project was «natural» and «inspiring,» and that the album would reflect their personal experiences.
