Arnold Schwarzenegger is personally training his son, Joseph Baena, ahead of his first bodybuilding competition, passing on his own experience — including competing in the legendary Mr. Olympia tournament.

The preparation is taking place at the iconic Gold’s Gym, where father and son are working intensively on Baena’s physique. The seven-time Mr. Olympia champion closely oversees the training process, paying particular attention to posing technique.

The 28-year-old athlete is preparing to compete at the NPC Natural Colorado in Denver — one of the key entry-level events in bodybuilding. The competition is known for its strict rules: participants undergo not only doping tests but also polygraph checks, ensuring a fair contest.

According to insiders, the preparation is already yielding results: Baena has managed to gain over eight kilograms of muscle mass in just two months. On social media, he has been hinting at his upcoming debut, sharing posts with a «showtime is near» mood.

Joseph Baena, who holds a degree in business administration and works as a fitness model, is increasingly following in his famous father’s footsteps. He is the son of Schwarzenegger and Mildred Baena; the actor also has four children from his marriage to Maria Shriver.

Schwarzenegger Sr. shared a photo from the premiere on social media. «Iron Arnie» emphasized how proud he was of his 31-year-old son’s project and admitted he was stunned when he found out about Patrick’s explicit scenes. At the same time, he humorously added that it only further proves their similarities.

«I was so happy to celebrate Patrick Schwarzenegger at the premiere of The White Lotus Season 3. What a show! I could say I was surprised to learn there’s an explicit scene, but what can I say – the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree», Arnold wrote.
