Selena Gomez, Penélope Cruz, and other stars at the Academy Museum Gala

Exploring the luxurious looks
Yesterday in Los Angeles, the fifth annual gala of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures took place – a charitable event aimed at supporting exhibitions and educational projects.
Last year, the evening raised over 11 million dollars and was dedicated to Rita Moreno, Paul Mescal, and Quentin Tarantino. This year, the awards for outstanding achievements in film were presented to Penélope Cruz, director Walter Salles, musician Bruce Springsteen, and actor Bowen Yang.
Beyond honoring the laureates, public attention was, as usual, drawn to the red carpet. Celebrities seized the opportunity to showcase striking ensembles and contemporary interpretations of classic Hollywood glamour.
One of the most memorable looks was worn by Zoey Deutch, who chose a scarlet gown by Zac Posen.
In a similar shade, Elle Fanning dazzled in a spectacular Balenciaga outfit.
Undoubtedly, the most extravagant look belonged to Kim Kardashian. The reality TV and social media star appeared in a couture Maison Margiela gown, complemented by a face mask. According to Kim, she was «fully done up with hair and makeup» under the mask and planned to remove it as soon as she entered the hall.
For the first time since their wedding, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco appeared in public together – the couple opted for sophisticated monochromatic looks in black.
Other guests who stood out included Eva Longoria in a sparkling Elie Saab gown and Anna Kendrick in a floral ensemble by Carolina Herrera.
Perhaps the evening’s most delicate look was delivered by Kate Hudson, wearing a long lemon-yellow Stella McCartney dress.
Cara Delevingne also looked exceptionally elegant.
Many celebrities preferred darker shades: Sydney Sweeney in Armani Privé, Charli XCX in Saint Laurent, Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber – both in Schiaparelli.
Opened in Hollywood in 2021, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures houses approximately 13 million items related to the history of global cinema – from documents, scripts, and sketches to costumes, rare films, and props. Exhibitions dedicated to prominent directors, actors, and cultural movements are regularly held here.
