Ryan Reynolds supports Green Day at Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony

A special day for the artists
The rock band Green Day, which has been around since 1987, received their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The official ceremony took place recently in Los Angeles and attracted a crowd of enthusiastic fans.
The biggest surprise for Billie Joe Armstrong, Tré Cool, and Mike Dirnt was the unexpected appearance of actor Ryan Reynolds. The «Deadpool» star walked on stage to a standing ovation and gave a speech in honor of his favorite band. In a comment to the San Francisco Chronicle, he said:
«These guys balance nostalgia and progress. I don’t think any other band could last this long and stay this productive without an internal sense of integrity. That’s the foundation of who they are.»
Incidentally, Reynolds recently recorded his own version of Green Day’s 1997 hit «Good Riddance» especially for the film «Deadpool & Wolverine».
During the ceremony, lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong admitted that the event stirred deep emotions in him:
«It feels like my own funeral,» he joked. «This is for my mom. For her, this is like the Super Bowl,» he added more seriously.
Receiving the star marked a significant moment for Green Day, a recognition of their impact across multiple generations of listeners.
