Police Arrest Former British Prince Andrew

In Connection with the Epstein Case
Former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on 19 February on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He is alleged to have passed confidential government documents to Jeffrey Epstein, the BBC reported.
The arrest took place on his birthday — he turned 66 that day. In a statement, Thames Valley Police confirmed that searches are being carried out at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk, and that the former prince remains in custody.

Regarding the Epstein case, it is alleged that Epstein arranged for women to be sent to the United Kingdom for sexual encounters with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the younger brother of King Charles III. The former prince has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing connected to Epstein and has stated that he regrets their friendship.
Police commentator Danny Shaw said that the maximum period the former prince can be held in custody is 96 hours. In most cases, suspects are detained for 12 or 24 hours, after which they are either charged or released pending further investigation.
According to Shaw, the former prince will be held in a standard custody suite, and no special treatment will be afforded to him.
