Paris Hilton launches true crime podcast

Socialite Paris Hilton is launching a crime podcast where several episodes will uncover the brutal murder of a young woman. The audio series, titled My Friend Daisy, will tell the tragic story of 19-year-old Daisy De La O, who was murdered in 2021. The killer was found thanks to social media activists. The podcast’s executive producer is Hilton’s company, and the host will be journalist Jen Swann. The premiere of the first episode will take place on March 26.
The podcast will recount the story of Daisy’s murder near her apartment in Compton. At that time, the victim’s friends and family used social media to draw attention to the case. They organized an international search that brought together amateur detectives in an attempt to solve the complicated case.
According to iHeartRadio, My Friend Daisy will provide listeners with a detailed account of the investigation.
«I am always looking for ways to shed light on important stories,» Hilton said.«When I first read Daisy De La O’s story told by Jen Swann in The Cut, I was heartbroken by what she went through but deeply moved by how her loved ones came together to demand justice,» she continued. «In our world, every woman’s story matters.»

The project surprised long-time fans of Hilton, and many praised her for deciding to highlight Daisy’s story.
Recently, Hilton hinted that a movie about her life is in the works and that an actress has already been chosen for the role. Although the singer declined to reveal the lead actress’s name, she told Extra TV that the actress is blonde.
«She’s iconic, beautiful, she’s incredible, and people will be thrilled when they see the movie,» Hilton said.
