Seventeen years after the release of the iconic teen show Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus is set to return to the role of the girl superstar. The singer and actress has announced a special episode marking the 20th anniversary of the project.
The anniversary episode will premiere on March 24 on the Disney+ streaming platform. Viewers can look forward to an in-depth interview with Miley, recorded in front of a live audience. The conversation will be hosted by Alex Cooper, the host of the popular podcast Call Her Daddy. The special episode will also include previously unreleased footage and a return to the most iconic scenes of the sitcom.
According to Cyrus, this episode is her way of thanking fans who have stayed with her since 2006 – the year the series premiered on Disney Channel.
«Hannah Montana will always be a part of me. What started as an ordinary TV show grew into a shared experience that shaped both my life and the lives of many of my fans», the artist stated.
