A family affair
American pop diva Miley Cyrus, 32, together with her mother Tish (58) and sisters Noah (25) and Brandi (38), takes center stage in the new fall issue of The Cut. The female half of the famous family posed for photographer Sylvester Mako in opulent looks from Nina Ricci, Loewe, Dior, Tom Ford, Saint Laurent, Ferragamo, Lanvin, and other luxury fashion houses.
For the sisters and their mother, the shoot was more than just a stylish editorial – it was an opportunity to showcase the closeness of their relationship today. As eldest sister Brandi admitted, gathering all the Cyrus women in one room is a miracle in itself: «We are all endlessly busy».
This year, despite releasing her ninth album Something Beautiful along with an accompanying film, Miley insisted: «Music is not about numbers. It’s about memories. I don’t know what chart positions Neil Diamond or Bob Seger ever reached, but their songs gave us timeless moments», she emphasized.
Meanwhile, her sister Noah introduced her second record I Want My Loved Ones to Go With Me, while Brandi wrapped up her residency at the Las Vegas Sphere and continued recording the family podcast Sorry We’re Cyrus alongside their mother.
The family also touched on the subject of values and parenting. Tish, a mother of five, revealed that she has always followed one important rule: «to be both kind and firm. Boundaries are an expression of love», she explained.
The sisters noted that family dinners at Tish’s house often resemble business meetings rather than festive gatherings, since their mother remains the key manager of all her daughters’ careers.
«We don’t come to eat – we come so Mom can help sort out our affairs», the sisters joked.
At the same time, the bond among the Cyrus women is remarkably strong, a fact underscored by the daughters’ heartfelt acknowledgment that their mother is their greatest source of support:
«Mom is our anchor. We rely on her so much», Miley admitted. «If I’m not the one calling her, then Noah does five minutes later. And Brandi is already on the other line».
