Look of the day: Sarah Jessica Parker in a «winged» dress at the New York Gala
Like a black swan
On the eve of the annual New York City Ballet Gala, held at the David H. Koch Theater in New York, the event drew a constellation of famous guests – among them, Sarah Jessica Parker accompanied by her husband, Matthew Broderick.
The actress, renowned for her impeccable sense of style, chose a truly dramatic look for her red-carpet appearance. She posed for photographers in a black-and-beige gown by the Dutch designer Iris Van Herpen, whose signature sculptural aesthetics turned the dress into a piece of art. The striking element was a pair of enormous black mesh wings – a clear allusion to the film «Black Swan». Her look was completed with delicate stud earrings and a few elegant rings.

On the carpet, she posed not only with her husband but also with ballet legend Mikhail Baryshnikov, who famously portrayed Carrie Bradshaw’s lover, Alexander Petrovsky, in the sixth season of «Sex and the City».
