Like mother, like daughter: Reese Witherspoon shares sweet photos with her mom
In celebration of her birthday
Reese Witherspoon’s mother, Betty Reese, recently celebrated her birthday, and to mark the occasion, the «Legally Blonde» star shared a series of heartfelt photos with the birthday girl.
«Happy birthday to my wonderful mother Betty, who taught me to find beauty in simple things – in handmade art, flowers in the garden, little children, and all the dogs and horses in the world!» the actress captioned the post.
As a gift, Reese presented her mom with a bright red lipstick.
«She adores red lipstick», the actress added with a smile.
But Betty Reese is more than just a source of inspiration – she’s a woman with an impressive professional background. Holding a doctorate in pediatric nursing, she spent over 30 years teaching future nurses at the University of Tennessee.
Reese and her mother share a close and loving bond. They often travel together, participate in photo shoots, and appear in interviews side by side. In one of them, Reese reflected:
«I’ve always wondered how many of her former students are now helping people around the world. My mom always said that a life spent in service to others is the best kind of life».
Fun fact: Reese and Betty look strikingly alike – both have blonde hair and vivid blue eyes.
