Lady Gaga sccused of plagiarism over new album cover

The subject of dispute — the Mayhem logo
Lost International, a company specializing in surfboard production, has filed a lawsuit against Lady Gaga. The singer has been accused of using their logo on the cover of her new album Mayhem.
According to TMZ, the company claims that it has owned the rights to this design style since 2015 and believes that the singer reproduced their font and design without permission.

Lawyers for Lost International initially tried to resolve the situation amicably by contacting the artist’s representatives. However, they claim that Gaga ignored these requests and continued to use the disputed logo.
As a result, the company decided to take the matter to court, demanding compensation equivalent to the profit made from using the logo.

It is worth noting that Mayhem became Lady Gaga’s seventh studio album, released on March 7. This is her first record since the successful album Chromatica (2020).
The new release has received positive feedback from fans, who called it «a return to Gaga’s avant-garde sound.» The album also debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.
