Kim Jones leaves his role as Creative Director of Dior Men’s

His successor remains unknown
The wave of executive reshuffling in the fashion industry continues. Today, it was announced that Kim Jones is stepping down as Creative Director of Dior’s men’s division.
The news was officially confirmed by the French fashion house on its Instagram page. Jones had been with the brand since 2018.

Jones presented his final collection for Dior just a week ago — on January 24, 2025. The collection received glowing reviews from critics and earned the designer a knighthood: following the show, Kim Jones was awarded France’s highest honor, the Legion of Honour.

His future plans remain unknown, but his departure raises questions about potential shifts in leadership and design direction at Dior.
In his farewell statement, Jones expressed that it had been a «true honor» to work for such a legendary fashion house and thanked the artists and friends he collaborated with.
«It has been an honor to create collections for the House of Dior — a symbol of absolute excellence. I am deeply grateful to my studio and atelier, who have supported me throughout this journey and brought my ideas to life. I also want to thank the artists and friends I’ve met through our collaborations. And finally, I sincerely thank Bernard and Delphine Arnault for their unwavering support,» said Kim Jones.

Dior’s CEO, Delphine Arnault, supported his decision, emphasizing that Jones had demonstrated «true creative freedom» and developed unique collaborative projects.
Kim Jones is one of the most influential figures in men’s fashion. Before joining Dior, he led Louis Vuitton Men’s for seven years (2011-2018). It was at Louis Vuitton that Jones first introduced the luxury streetwear aesthetic, later evolved by Virgil Abloh and now carried forward by Pharrell Williams.
His creative era at Dior made history, thanks to groundbreaking collaborations with acclaimed artists such as KAWS, Amoako Boafo, and Peter Doig, as well as street culture icons like Travis Scott and Shawn Stüssy.
One of his most legendary projects was the limited-edition Air Jordan 1 OG Dior, released in 2020. The sneakers became a global phenomenon, with nearly 5 million people worldwide competing for the chance to buy a pair.
