Katy Perry and Lauren Sánchez will travel to space

A unique «women’s» mission
American pop star Katy Perry will be part of the first all-female crew to travel to space. The space tourism mission, initiated by Jeff Bezos’ company Blue Origin, is entirely unique, as all of its participants are women.
In addition to 40-year-old singer Katy Perry, the crew includes journalist and billionaire Jeff Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sánchez, aerospace engineer Aisha Bowe, bioastronaut Amanda Nguyen, producer Keriann Flynn, and CBS host Gayle King.
«If you had told me I would be part of the first all-female crew in space, I would have believed you. As a child, nothing was beyond my imagination,» Katy Perry told ABC News.
The flight will take place on the New Shepard rocket and will last about 10 — 12 minutes. The spacecraft is fully autonomous, meaning there will be no pilots on board. The rocket will reach an altitude of approximately 100 kilometers above Earth, crossing the Kármán line, which is conventionally considered the boundary between Earth’s atmosphere and outer space.
The launch is scheduled for spring from a spaceport in West Texas.
