Kate Middleton shows how and what to wear with a striped print

The striped print was at the height of popularity a few years ago, and now it’s back in fashion. It was originally borrowed from sailors by the legendary founder of the Chanel fashion house. The sailors didn’t mind, and the stylish nautical look firmly established itself in the minds of fashionistas as a great option for a top.
Today, stripes are a synonym for elegance and ease. One of the biggest fans of the striped print is Kate Middleton. Her latest appearance is proof of that.
Recently, the Princess of Wales made an unannounced visit to Essex. She visited the garden of Colchester Hospital and planted an entire rose bush named in her honor. These roses were bred in May this year. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the «Catherine Roses» goes to the Royal Marsden Hospital, where Kate was treated for cancer in 2024.
For the visit, the Princess of Wales wore a striped top – a Blazé Milano blazer and a Ralph Lauren shirt, paired with plain Max Mara trousers and Veja sneakers. To complete the look – Cartier earrings and watch.
«During treatment, you try to stay strong. When it ends, you feel like you can move on. But it’s a very hard period… At home, you no longer feel the same as before. You have to rediscover what ‘normal’ means for you now. It’s an emotional rollercoaster. And to have a place like this garden – it’s incredibly valuable», said Kate Middleton.
