Kate Middleton and Prince William Attend Remembrance Day Parade with Their Children

Commemorations at Whitehall
On Sunday, November 9, the United Kingdom marked Remembrance Day — a solemn occasion honoring the servicemen and women who lost their lives in military conflicts. The main ceremony traditionally took place at Whitehall, where the monarch led a two-minute silence, and members of the Royal Family attended the memorial service.
The Princess of Wales, Kate, appeared at the event wearing an elegant black coatdress by Catherine Walker London, symbolically paying tribute to the fallen heroes. Her look was completed with a red poppy brooch and a pair of Collingwood pearl earrings that once belonged to Princess Diana. The earrings were a wedding gift to Diana in 1981, and Kate has often chosen them as a gesture of respect for her late mother-in-law.

Another meaningful detail was a gold Royal Air Force wings brooch, which the Princess pinned next to the poppy. With this accessory, Catherine paid homage to her grandfather, Peter Middleton, a World War II veteran and fighter pilot.
Standing beside Kate was Queen Camilla, dressed in a classic black jacket with a high collar and a lace scarf, her look finished with a Belvedere hat by Lock Hatters.

King Charles III, wearing the uniform of a Field Marshal, laid a wreath at the Cenotaph and observed a moment of silence to honor the fallen. He was followed by Prince William, who placed his own wreath while dressed in his Royal Air Force Squadron Leader uniform.

Among those in attendance was the Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie, who was visibly moved during the service, watching the ceremony from a balcony alongside the Duke of Kent. The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were also present.

A day earlier, on November 8, Kate attended the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall together with her eldest son, 12-year-old Prince George. For the young heir, it marked his first participation in such a significant national event.
