Kanye West Banned from Entering the United Kingdom

Kanye West has been banned from entering the United Kingdom over antisemitic remarks. The BBC reports that the UK Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, has revoked the rapper’s permission to enter the country. According to an official statement, Kanye’s performances do not contribute to the «public good» of residents.
At the same time, the rapper had already been announced as one of the headliners of the Wireless Festival, set to take place in London this July. The festival’s organizers previously addressed their decision to book West despite his controversial reputation: «Prior to booking Ye, consultations were held with multiple stakeholders, and at that time no concerns were raised.»
