Justin Baldoni prepares a countersuit against Blake Lively

It seems the controversy surrounding Blake Lively’s accusations of sexual harassment by her co-star Justin Baldoni during the filming of «Leave if You Love» is far from over. This time, the accused has taken a stand. The actor has decided not to retreat but instead to file a countersuit against Blake Lively.
According to the Daily Mail, Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, considers Lively’s claims an attempt to salvage her reputation.
«Do you seriously believe that Blake Lively, who is married to someone as influential as Ryan Reynolds, would sit quietly if she had been sexually harassed on set and then wait four months after the movie’s release to file a complaint? It’s absurd!» the Daily Mail quotes the lawyer as saying. He also claims that the issues in the actors’ relationship were well known to everyone involved in the filming process.
Moreover, it is argued that while Justin may have a strong personality, he could not have harassed his co-star. The conflict, according to the lawyer, arose from a misunderstanding between the two actors:
«They misunderstood each other. She took snippets of their conversations, where he was trying to befriend her, and used them as a weapon».
At the same time, Baldoni’s lawyer has made it clear that the actor is determined to defend his reputation.
«I won’t disclose when or how many lawsuits we will file, but when we file our first case, it will shock everyone who has been manipulated into believing an obviously false story», the lawyer stated.
