Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson divorce after 10 years of marriage

Jessica Simpson shocked her fans with unexpected news. The singer and businesswoman announced that she is divorcing her husband, professional football player Eric Johnson. The couple was married for 10 years and has three children: 12-year-old Maxwell, 11-year-old Ace, and 5-year-old Birdie.
Simpson announced the split to People magazine.
«Eric and I are living separately. Our children come first, and we are focused on what is best for them. We are grateful for all the love and support we’ve received as we work through this as a family», the singer noted.
The reason for the split is unknown. However, just a week ago, Jessica shared a photo with her husband, reminding her followers: «Life is short. Smile while you still have teeth». Interestingly, sharp-eyed fans noticed Eric without his wedding ring back in November, around the same time Simpson hinted at her «return» to music.
As a reminder, the couple married in July 2014. They met through a mutual friend in 2010.
