In Burlesque Style: Taylor Swift Announces 12th Album

Release Date Revealed
Taylor Swift has officially announced her 12th studio album, The Life Of A Showgirl, set to be released on October 3.
In the cover art and promotional images shared by the 35-year-old artist, she channels a glamorous burlesque-inspired aesthetic. Part of the recording took place in a historic theatre, aiming to capture the vibrant atmosphere of the stage even within studio tracks.
The album will feature 12 songs, including a duet with Sabrina Carpenter, which will serve as the closing track. Production credits go to Swift herself, along with two of the world’s most celebrated hitmakers — Max Martin and Shellback — the team behind her iconic singles Shake It Off, Blank Space, 22, I Knew You Were Trouble, and Delicate. Notably absent from the producers’ list this time are Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner, who collaborated with Swift on her most recent releases.
The new record promises a return to bright, exuberant pop and a more optimistic tone compared to the introspective The Tortured Poets Department. Swift revealed that each track made it onto the album «for a hundred different reasons,» coming together to form «the perfect puzzle.»
She added that The Life Of A Showgirl was inspired by the surge of energy she experienced during her massive Eras Tour.
