I Said I Love You First: listening to the new album by Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco

The release features a total of 14 tracks
We’re kicking off our Friday by listening to the new album by Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco – I Said I Love You First. It marks the singer’s first release after a five-year hiatus. The album was produced by Benny, but other artists also participated in recording and creating the material. Among them are Gracie Abrams, Charli XCX, Finneas, and Cashmere Cat.
I Said I Love You First is dedicated to the love story of a couple and covers all the important moments – the first meeting, falling in love, and reflecting on a shared future. According to the singer herself, the new album is «a direct result of the harmony that she and Blanco felt while working together», allowing them to create art that genuinely reflects their experiences.
The release features 14 tracks in total. The most attention-grabbing single is Young and Hotter Than Me, which sings about heartbreak and unrequited love – seemingly an allusion to the singer’s past romance with Justin Bieber.
«Benny, thank you for being my personal diary throughout this entire process. These songs represent our past, present, and future… Thank you for pouring your unconditional love into creating this project with me», the singer addressed her fiancé.
Let’s listen to the album!
