How the Prada Fall/Winter Show Unfolded in Milan

Key highlights, atmosphere, and standout looks
Milan Fashion Week is in full swing: alongside other major Houses such as Fendi, Prada presented its vision for the Fall/Winter 2026/2027 season. The show was among the most highly anticipated events of the season, once again reaffirming the brand’s reputation as an intellectual provocateur within the realm of classic luxury.

Fifteen models took part in the presentation, each appearing on the runway four times – resulting in approximately 60 distinct looks showcased to the audience.

One of the most talked-about moments was the return of Bella Hadid, who stepped back onto the runway after a hiatus.

The collection is defined by an aesthetic of deliberate «carelessness». Sheer coats with intentionally exposed threads, shirt sleeves peeking out from beneath outerwear, dresses with frayed hems and decorative slashes create a sense of effortless improvisation. It is a style in which randomness only appears accidental.

Attention is drawn to striking details: floral-print coats reminiscent of dressing gowns; a fuchsia velvet zip-front dress; apron-like skirts adorned with red bouquet appliqués, sequins, and crystals. Knitted scarves are tied «the old-fashioned way», with the ends turned outward; alternatively, fur styles – including leopard-print versions – offer a bolder accent.

The show clearly outlined one of the season’s key directions: layering, the interplay of contrasting textures, and a focus on detail. Here, clothing emerges not merely as an aesthetic object but as a tool of self-expression. Prada once again reminds us that fashion is not only about form, but also about meaning, narrative, and the character behind every look.
