House once rented by Audrey Hepburn listed for sale

Almost $11 million
A Los Angeles home once rented by Audrey Hepburn has been listed for sale for nearly 11 million dollars. The legendary Hollywood actress rented the property from Deborah Kerr – star of the film «The King and I».
While the exact dates remain unclear, it is believed that Kerr owned the house for most of the 1950s, and Hepburn lived there in 1957. This is confirmed by photographs taken that same year by photographer Sid Avery, which show the actress together with her then-husband Mel Ferrer. Prior to Kerr, the house was owned by director and producer Edwin Knopf (brother of renowned publisher Alfred A. Knopf Sr.) and his wife Mildred. The estate was last sold 34 years ago, though the exact date and sale price have not been disclosed.
Built in 1939, the 557-square-meter mansion is designed in the Georgian style. Despite undergoing partial renovations over the decades, the owners have preserved its original look.
The house features five bedrooms and six bathrooms. Additional highlights include a wood-paneled library with a fireplace and a Palm Beach–style sunroom with green-and-white checkered flooring, a built-in bar, and French doors opening onto a balcony.
The grounds include a swimming pool and a spacious terrace. The property is adorned with hedges, rose gardens, and winding pathways leading down to the street.
