Gucci heiress’ desert home in California now available for rent

For $28,000 per month
A home in the Southern California desert, belonging to the granddaughter of Guccio Gucci, the founder of the luxury Italian fashion house, is now available for long-term rent. According to the listing, Patricia Gucci purchased and renovated the property in the 1990s.
Looking at the map, it may seem like the house is far from civilization, but that’s not the case. It is located just 11 minutes from the main street of Palm Desert, where you can find grocery stores, restaurants, art galleries, and high-end boutiques.
«This is a place to reflect. You hear nothing – no cars, no noise», the listing states.
The rental price for the home is $28,000 per month.
The estate features a main house with 10 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. Its design is inspired by various cultures, incorporating Moroccan-style wall niches, plaster finishes, and a built-in Greek bed in the master bedroom.
The property also includes a tennis court, two guest houses, and a swimming pool with breathtaking views of the Coachella Valley, as the estate is perched high on Bighorn Mountain.
Thanks to its elevated location, the temperature here is about 10 degrees cooler than at the mountain’s base, making it comfortable even in the summer.
«It feels like you’re on top of the world. You often see bighorn sheep here. It’s a very natural phenomenon», the listing describes.
