Gillian Anderson’s appearance and an enchanted forest: how the Miu Miu FW 26/27 show unfolded

The final note of Paris Fashion Week
The Miu Miu Fall-Winter 2026/27 show delivered the closing highlight of Paris Fashion Week. Creative director Miuccia Prada transformed the Palais d’Iéna into a fairytale forest: the runway was covered with moss, grass, and dry leaves, while the walls were draped in red damask. Guests seemed to find themselves on a mysterious woodland clearing in the heart of Paris – a setting that underscored the collection’s central idea: the fragility of the human body in the face of the vast surrounding world.

This philosophy was echoed in the silhouettes. The looks balanced between deliberately oversized shapes and almost miniature, cropped forms. The runway featured plush coats, jackets trimmed with fur, suits with long flared trousers, low-rise leather pants, and dresses made of crinkled fabric. Chiffon designs with dropped waists, inspired by the aesthetics of the 1920s, were adorned with crystals and appliqués.

In the final part of the show, the mood became more celebratory: models appeared in mini dresses and airy blouses embroidered with stones and beads. Accessories – headbands, decorative belts, and shimmering platform shoes – added striking accents to the looks. Among the most notable elements of the collection were fur ushanka hats and wool hats with transformed «ear» details.

As is often the case with Miu Miu, the casting itself became a moment of attention. The runway was walked by actresses Gillian Anderson, Chloë Sevigny, and Diana Silvers, as well as supermodels Gemma Ward and Kristen McMenamy. Gillian Anderson closed the show, appearing in a layered tulle dress lavishly embellished with stones.

Traditionally, the Miu Miu show placed the final punctuation mark not only on Paris Fashion Week but on the entire Fall-Winter 2026/27 runway season, leaving behind the atmosphere of an enchanted forest and reflections on humanity’s place within the vast world.
