Eurovision winner 2025 – singer JJ unveils new single

Back to Forgetting
Austria’s JJ, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, has released his brand-new single Back to Forgetting.
This marks the artist’s first release since his triumphant performance of Wasted Love, the song that brought Austria its third victory in the history of the competition.
The track combines a dramatic melody, allowing JJ to showcase the full power of his voice, with driving electronic production. Unlike Wasted Love, the new single offers a fresher, more contemporary sound while retaining the emotional depth that has become JJ’s signature.
According to JJ, Back to Forgetting is about the painful process of letting go of the past:
«This song tells my own story. Just when you begin to forget someone, suddenly a message from them appears – and everything comes rushing back. You think: «Not you… I’ve only just started to forget you», the singer explains.
Following his Eurovision triumph, Wasted Love soared into Spotify’s global Top 25 and amassed nearly 40 million streams. Over the summer, JJ toured extensively across Europe and was honored with the prestigious Golden Rathausmann award from the Mayor of Vienna.
Back to Forgetting marks the beginning of JJ’s next musical chapter, while in 2026 Austria will proudly host Eurovision once again, thanks to his victory.
