Following a public spat with Trump
The world’s richest man, according to Forbes, Elon Musk, has announced the creation of his own political party called «America» following a public dispute with U.S. President Donald Trump. The announcement came after a poll conducted on the social media platform X on July 4.
The businessman criticized the existing U.S. political system, stating that the country effectively lives under a one-party rule due to excessive spending and corruption.
«With a 2-to-1 majority, you wanted a new political party, and now you will get one. When it comes to bankrupting our country through overspending and corruption, it turns out we live in a one-party system, not a democracy. Today, the party «America» has been formed to give you back your freedom», Musk concluded.
As a reminder, Elon Musk had previously supported Trump both verbally and financially during the presidential campaign. However, he later distanced himself from the Trump administration and eventually entered into a heated dispute with the U.S. President over the new budget.
