Donald Trump, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, and other stars at Super Bowl 2025

Scandals and highlights
On the night of February 9-10, the 59th Super Bowl, the final game of the National Football League (NFL) season, took place in New Orleans, USA. The Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles faced off in the arena, with the Eagles emerging victorious and claiming the coveted trophy designed by Tiffany & Co.
Many American football fans — and not only them — know that the high ratings of the game are not just due to the teams’ performance but also the relationship between singer Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce. Last year, a photo of the couple kissing after the Chiefs’ victory went viral worldwide, significantly boosting the Super Bowl’s ratings. This time, there was widespread speculation that Kelce would propose to Swift if his team won, a moment that would have gone down in history. However, the singer became the evening’s headline for a different reason — she was booed by football fans.
Every time Taylor appeared on the screen, the entire stadium erupted in disapproving jeers and boos. Her reaction quickly became a meme, as Swift simply shot a mocking glance at the displeased crowd. The reason for the audience’s behavior may have been the couple’s pre-game dinner. In the sports world, there is a superstition that athletes should not spend time with their wives or girlfriends before a game, as it is believed to bring bad luck. Ultimately, Travis Kelce’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs, lost the decisive match.
Meanwhile, Swift’s close friend Blake Lively was notably absent from the major sporting event. Reports emerged that Taylor had removed her from the guest list. Instead, rapper Ice Spice was seated next to Taylor. The decision might have been linked to the scandal between Lively and Justin Baldoni, in which Swift’s name was repeatedly mentioned—a situation she reportedly disliked. According to the media, Swift was furious and has since stopped speaking to the actress.
Lady Gaga opened Super Bowl 2025 with a tribute performance of Hold My Hand in memory of victims of terrorist attacks. Once again, she surprised viewers with a dramatic transformation. Just a week ago, at the Grammy Awards, Gaga embraced a gothic look, wearing a black dress with a voluminous skirt, sleeves, and a high collar, paired with a black wig.
However, at the Super Bowl, she appeared in a completely different style — sporting light-colored hair and an all-white outfit. A large hat made her look striking, though it nearly concealed her petite figure. Many fans speculated that Gaga was trying to hide from excessive attention.
The Super Bowl 2025 halftime show was headlined by Kendrick Lamar, who is currently at the peak of his career. Recently, he was a major winner at the Grammy Awards, where his diss track Not Like Us targeting Drake won three awards. Fans eagerly anticipated whether Kendrick would perform the song at the Super Bowl. He delivered a set of 10 tracks, including the controversial diss track.
During his performance, Serena Williams joined him on stage, performing the Crip Walk.
Singer SZA also performed alongside Kendrick. Online, users joked that Drake might now file multimillion-dollar lawsuits not only against Kendrick but also against the event’s organizers.

A major moment of the evening was the appearance of U.S. President Donald Trump at the Super Bowl 2025. He became the first sitting president in history to attend the game. However, many expected him to be accompanied by his wife, First Lady Melania Trump.
Contrary to expectations, the U.S. president attended the event with his daughter Ivanka Trump instead. She was quickly dubbed the most stylish celebrity of the evening. Ivanka wore white trousers paired with a vest cinched at the waist with a wide brown belt, completing her look with a raffia handbag.
Among other celebrity attendees at Super Bowl 2025 were Jay-Z, who was spotted with his daughters, 7-year-old Rumi and 13-year-old Blue Ivy.Many mistook Blue Ivy for Beyoncé, though the singer herself was not seen at the event.
Other notable guests included actor Bradley Cooper with his daughter, actors Kevin Costner and Tom Brady, and singer Tyla.
