Dolce&Gabbana: an exciting fashion exhibition opens in Paris

Don’t miss it — open until March 31!
Celebrating success in grand style is the philosophy of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Following the successful launch of their exhibition From the Heart to the Hand: Dolce&Gabbana at Milan’s Palazzo Reale last year, the display has now arrived at the Grand Palais in Paris.
From January 10 to March 31, 2025, visitors are invited to step into the breathtaking fashion universe of this iconic Italian duo.
Curated by Florence Müller, a renowned fashion historian, the exhibition is a heartfelt love letter to Italy — its art, craftsmanship, colors, tastes, and most importantly, its people.
Visitors will journey through the creative process of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, from the heart, where ideas are born, to the hands, where they take shape.
«Through video installations and interactive elements, we’ve managed to highlight the value of craftsmanship and draw attention to the smallest details,» says curator Florence Müller.
Each hall explores a theme that inspired one of their collections, including architecture, ballet, opera, theater, cultural heritage, and, of course, the dolce vita.
Spanning more than 1,200 square meters, the exhibition features 200 dresses and suits, as well as around 300 handmade accessories.
Ticket prices range from €17 to €24 and can be purchased on the Grand Palais website.
A brief history of the brand: Dolce&Gabbana was founded in 1983 when Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana established their design studio in Legnano, Italy (Milan province).
In the spring-summer 1986 season, Dolce and Gabbana debuted their first women’s collection during Milan Fashion Week alongside five other emerging Italian designers. In 1987, they opened their showroom in Milan, launched a knitwear line, and later introduced lingerie and swimwear in 1989.
In 1988, they presented their first collection inspired by Sicilian traditions and culture, blending sensuality with modesty, tradition with cosmopolitanism.
The brand’s signature elements include the black bustier dress, delicate lace, leopard print, men’s blazers worn over bare skin, distressed and rhinestone-embellished jeans, and intricate handmade appliqués.
