Director James Cameron becomes a dollar billionaire

Thanks to box office success
Director James Cameron has joined the ranks of dollar billionaires, according to Forbes. His net worth is estimated at $1.1 billion.
Cameron earned the bulk of his fortune through the remarkable box office performance of his films. Altogether, his works – The Terminator, Aliens, Titanic, as well as the first two installments of the Avatar franchise – have generated nearly $9 billion in worldwide box office revenue.

According to Forbes, Cameron could receive at least another $200 million before taxes and fees for Avatar: Fire and Ash, provided the film meets commercial expectations.
It is also noted that the 71-year-old filmmaker has become the fifth director to attain billionaire status. He now stands alongside Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Peter Jackson, and Tyler Perry. Forbes emphasizes that, unlike his peers, Cameron has built his fortune almost entirely on the success of his own films, rather than through business ventures outside Hollywood.
