«Crossed the line»: Taylor Swift files lawsuit against Kanye West

Over the rapper’s new claims
Hollywood is once again shaken by a new twist in the long-standing feud between the stars: Taylor Swift has officially filed a lawsuit against Kanye West, accusing him of defamation. The trigger was the rapper’s recent statements on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), where he claimed that the singer had intimate relationships with Justin Bieber and Harry Styles.
Swift’s legal team is demanding the immediate cessation of such statements. According to a source close to the singer, West has «gone too far this time.»
«This isn’t just defamation. It’s sexual harassment aimed at discrediting a woman and damaging her reputation and career,» the insider told the media.
The lawsuit also requests a court injunction prohibiting West from making any further public comments about Swift. Her lawyers hinted: if he doesn’t stop, he will face even more serious legal consequences.

Longstanding conflict
The feud between Taylor Swift and Kanye West dates back to 2009, when, during the MTV VMA ceremony, West unexpectedly stormed the stage during Swift’s acceptance speech and claimed that Beyoncé deserved the award more. Since then, their conflict has simmered for years — sometimes behind the scenes, sometimes in the public eye.
West has repeatedly mentioned Swift in his songs, while the singer has called him «insincere» in interviews, noting that he’s friendly in private but uses her name for publicity in public.
Kanye’s eccentric behavior
Recently, Kanye West’s behavior has raised increasing concern. The rapper often shocks with loud and controversial statements: from accusing Kim Kardashian of «bad parenting» to making shocking remarks about Nazism. One of the most talked-about incidents was his appearance at the Grammy Awards with his wife, Bianca Censori, who was completely naked. Following that, she reportedly left him.
