Corinna Kamper, Danilo Campisi, and other celebrities support the legendary chocolate factory in Vienna

A sweet mission
Over Palm Sunday weekend in Vienna, an extraordinary event took place: at the city’s oldest chocolate factory — Schokomichi, located at Sechshausser Straße 43 — celebrities swapped TV shows and exhibitions for chocolate spatulas. All this in an effort to save the capital’s last true «chocolate heart.»

The family-run factory «Viennese Willy Wonka Workshop,» operating since 1880, is currently facing challenging times. With rising costs, pressure from big manufacturers, and a shrinking customer base, this unique craft is at risk. Michael Reimer, heir to the tradition, now works nearly single-handedly, spending up to 18 hours a day in the chocolate workshop.

That’s where Austrian stars stepped in to help: Corinna Kamper, Danilo Campisi, Barbara Wussow, Jakob Seeböck, Andrea Händler, Susanna Hirschler, Dorretta Carter, Andy Lee Lang, Gary Lux, Wolfgang Reichl, Konstanze Breitebner, and many others. Not only did they assist in producing Easter sweets, they also called on the public to support local businesses.
Konstanze Breitebner, actress and writer, made a special gesture: she purchased handmade Easter treats and donated them to families in need, together with the organization Volkshilfe.
«In difficult times, we must support local crafts and businesses so that beloved places like this can remain with us,» she emphasized.

Michael Reimer was deeply moved by the support:
«When actors and TV hosts come to my little factory, put on aprons, and get to work, I feel that what we do matters. This is not just chocolate — it’s tradition, it’s real craftsmanship. And that’s what I want to preserve.»
This initiative once again confirms: true values lie in sincerity, support, and traditions worth preserving.
