Catherine, Princess of Wales and Prince William, Prince of Wales Visit a Market in London

Photo report
Catherine, Princess of Wales and Prince William, Prince of Wales paid an informal visit to one of London’s most famous food markets — Borough Market. The couple stopped by to meet local producers and personally sample British delicacies.

For the public appearance, the Princess of Wales chose an elegant look: suede boots by Jimmy Choo, a checked blazer, and a light blue blouse.

While strolling through the historic market — which has been operating for nearly a thousand years and is renowned for the produce of British farmers and artisans — the royal couple visited several popular spots. They first stopped at the café Change Please, where Kate even prepared a cappuccino for her husband. The couple then decorated meringue desserts at the bakery Humble Crumble, visited the cheesemonger Trethowan Brothers, and stopped by the brewery Southwark Brewing Company.

Their day concluded with a boat trip along the River Thames aboard a lifeboat operated by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, during which they learned more about the service’s life-saving work on the water.
