Brad Pitt as a Formula 1 driver: first trailer released

Warner Bros. has unveiled the first official trailer for the sports drama Formula 1, starring Brad Pitt in the lead role. The Hollywood actor portrays seasoned driver Sonny Hayes.
The film’s plot follows the story of a former racer who survived a horrific crash and left the sport. However, fate gives him another chance when he is invited to mentor a young rising star ahead of a crucial Grand Prix.
Interestingly, according to the announcement, Pitt performed almost all of his own stunts — from high-speed racing to intense action scenes.
The drama is directed by Joseph Kosinski, the filmmaker behind the hit Top Gun: Maverick, while seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton serves as one of the producers and also makes an on-screen appearance.
The cast also includes Javier Bardem, Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and others.
The film is set to premiere in U.S. theaters in June 2025.
