Birthday Boy: How Meghan Markle Congratulated Prince Harry on His 41st Birthday

On September 15, the Duke of Sussex celebrated his 41st birthday. His wife, Meghan Markle, marked the occasion by sharing a photograph of Harry in military uniform, accompanied by the caption: «Oh, hi, birthday boy.»
In the picture, Harry poses in the uniform of an army pilot, with a name patch reading «Harry Wales» — the surname he used both at school and during his military service to avoid references to his royal title. The photograph was taken at Goodwood Aerodrome shortly before he met Meghan.

Notably, despite Harry recently meeting with his father for the first time in over a year and a half, neither King Charles III nor other members of the royal family publicly extended birthday wishes.
Meghan and Harry were married in 2018. Their firstborn, Archie, was born in the United Kingdom, but soon after, the couple stepped back from royal duties and relocated to California, where their daughter, Lilibet, was born. Since then, relations with the royal family have sharply deteriorated.
The rift deepened following their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, the release of Harry’s controversial memoir Spare, and ongoing accusations that the couple exploit their royal status for personal publicity.
Just days before his birthday, Prince Harry visited Ukraine. He arrived in Kyiv at the invitation of the government and unveiled new initiatives in support of Ukrainian soldiers and those affected by the war.
