28-year-old supermodel Bella Hadid has returned to social media after a long break, sharing worrying photos from a hospital. In the images, she is seen lying with an IV drip and an oxygen tube to help her breathe.
The star admitted she is going through a difficult time and could not hold back her tears. «I’m sorry for disappearing. I love you, friends,» Bella wrote to her followers.
Her sister, Gigi Hadid, was quick to offer words of support in the comments: «I love you! I hope you’ll soon feel strong and beautiful again, just as you deserve!»
According to doctors, Bella is experiencing a flare-up of Lyme disease — an illness that affects the kidneys and causes insomnia, nausea, swelling, and cognitive issues. The model has been battling this diagnosis for 17 years. Her mother Yolanda and brother Anwar also suffer from the condition.
Other celebrities have previously spoken about their struggles with Lyme disease, including Justin Bieber and Justin Timberlake, who admitted that coping with the illness has been particularly challenging for him.
