«Being happy is hard work»: Sharon Stone on life lessons and female solidarity

Takes part in a bold photo shoot
Hollywood actress Sharon Stone graces the cover of the latest issue of Vogue Adria. For this issue, the film star participated in a daring and, at times, provocative black-and-white photo shoot — posing surrounded by semi-nude men in various looks, including a denim jumpsuit, form-fitting dresses, and textured suits.
In one of the shots, the 67-year-old actress appears in a sheer outfit barely covering her chest.
The actress also gave an in-depth interview where she reflected on life lessons, personal values, and female solidarity. Sharon shared her belief that happiness is not a natural state but rather hard work and a daily choice. She admitted that there are days when she struggles to even get out of bed, but she considers discipline, courage, and focus to be the keys to feeling good.
«Being happy is hard work. There are days when everything feels impossible, when you don’t want to get out of bed. Sometimes I only manage to do so by six in the evening. But no matter what we go through to find our happiness — if we start searching for it, we will find it,” the actress emphasized in the interview, adding: “It takes great courage, even greater discipline, and tremendous focus to stay happy. But it’s worth it. I do this every day. Every day, I choose to get up and fight, even when I really don’t want to or don’t feel strong enough. Every day. But I keep proving to myself that I can do it and that I’m getting better.»
Sharon also pointed out that despite their Hollywood status, actors are just regular people who face the same challenges, problems, and responsibilities as anyone else in the world.
«When it comes to life, we are all the same. We all struggle in the same way, we all look for work, worry about our children, fear the same things, and we’re all, damn it, just trying to figure out this thing called life — with varying degrees of success,» said the Oscar-winning actress.
The star also touched on the topic of female solidarity, stressing the importance of mutual support, especially from prominent women.
«Women — we are a special club. Those of us who are relatively privileged should stand by others as much as we can. Paint each other’s nails, do each other’s hair, and ask what is needed today to feel better. We must be organized, caring, calm, and open about everything we go through.»
