Anthony Hopkins trolls Kim Kardashian by trying on Skims’ new face mask

Recently, Kim Kardashian introduced her first beauty product under the Skims brand — the Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap, a face mask that, according to the manufacturer, eliminates double chins, lifts facial contours, and reduces puffiness.
The mask is made of elastane and polyamide and is infused with a «collagen thread.» The ad campaign highlights the idea that the new product should become a must-have part of your evening beauty routine. The concept resonated with consumers: within just 48 hours of its launch, the product completely sold out.
But not everyone took it seriously. On social media, the mask was immediately compared to the legendary «Hannibal Lecter mask» from the film «The Silence of the Lambs.» And Anthony Hopkins himself, who played Hannibal, didn’t stay on the sidelines. On his Instagram, the actor posted a video of himself trying on the mask and joking:
«Hi Kim! I already look ten years younger. Bye now…»
In the video caption, Hopkins even invited Kim to dinner, adding that she has nothing to be afraid of. Kim quickly responded by reposting the video to her Stories with the comment: «I’m screaming!» — clearly thrilled by the actor’s self-irony.
Fans were impressed with Hopkins’ humor, praising his ability to «troll with finesse» in the comments. But opinions about the mask were less positive: people noted that similar lifting masks have been available on Chinese marketplaces for quite some time, and complained about yet another stage of «nighttime suffering,» since women already sleep in collagen masks — calling Kim’s version «a medieval torture device.»
