Adam Sandler steps out with his grown daughters
At the premiere of «Happy Gilmore 2»
Last night in New York City, the long-anticipated premiere of the sequel «Happy Gilmore 2» took place, with Adam Sandler reprising the iconic role.
The 58-year-old actor appeared on the red carpet with his family – his wife, actress and model Jackie Sandler, and their two grown daughters, 16-year-old Sunny and 19-year-old Sadie. Both girls landed supporting roles in the sequel.
For the event, Sandler kept things relaxed in a bright Hawaiian-print T-shirt and peach-colored shorts, while Jackie chose an elegant black dress. Sunny and Sadie also embraced a laid-back look, much like their famous father.
It’s worth noting that this isn’t the girls’ first appearance on screen. They’ve already featured in at least 14 of their father’s projects, including comedies like «You Don’t Mess with the Zohan» (2008), «Hotel Transylvania» (2012), and more.
«Happy Gilmore 2» hits Netflix tomorrow. In the sequel, Sandler once again picks up the golf club. This time, however, his character must do more than return to the game – he has to rediscover who he truly is.
It’s been nearly 30 years since the release of the original film. Back in 1996, «Happy Gilmore» shook up the world of sports comedies, injecting fresh energy into a genre many had considered predictable.
