Actor Denzel Washington becomes a minister

Ordained as a clergyman
Hollywood actor Denzel Washington, star of The Equalizer and Gladiator 2, has entered a new chapter in his life by becoming a minister.
The 69-year-old two-time Oscar winner was baptized and received a license as a clergyman. Now ordained, Denzel has the authority to officiate weddings and perform other ceremonies within the responsibilities of clergy, according to Page Six.
«Next week I’ll turn 70, and it’s taken me time to reach this point, but I’m here. If God could do this for me, there’s nothing He can’t do for you. Truly, heaven knows no boundaries», Denzel said during his baptism.
The ceremony took place in New York at the Kelly Temple Church of God in Christ. His wife, Pauletta Washington, attended the event to support him. The couple has been married for over 40 years and shares four children: 40-year-old John, 37-year-old Katia, and 33-year-old twins Olivia and Malcolm.
