Rihanna couldn’t hold back tears in court
Rihanna’s partner, rapper A$AP Rocky (real name Rakim Mayers), has been acquitted in the case involving a shooting that took place in November 2021 in Hollywood.
Previously, the musician faced two charges that could have resulted in up to 24 years in prison. The prosecution alleged that the rapper fired several shots at his acquaintance, A$AP Relli, injuring him in the hand. However, the defense argued that the gun was a prop and that the shell casings were found by random passersby, not the police.
According to Daily Mail, Rihanna couldn’t hold back her tears in the courtroom, while the rapper hugged his legal team after the verdict was announced, repeatedly saying, «Thank you for saving my life,» before rushing to embrace his partner.
The 36-year-old singer attended the court session to support her partner, bringing their two children—two-year-old RZA and one-year-old Riot. As she accompanied A$AP Rocky to court, she leaned down to one of the children and said, «Wish Daddy luck.»
It’s worth noting that American celebrities often find themselves in high-profile scandals. Last year, the world was shocked by the controversy surrounding rapper and producer P. Diddy (real name Sean Combs). He faced accusations of rape, racketeering, and human trafficking.
Allegedly, these crimes took place at his «White Parties,» attended by numerous celebrities. Since then, accusations have not only been directed at Combs but also at his close circle. Chilling rumors have even surfaced about singer Beyoncé and her husband, Jay-Z.
